“Never stay, Lacey. Promise me. Promise me right now, that whenever things go bad in life, you will run. Never, ever stay.”

Lacey Monroe was used to running. When things got bad, when things got dangerous, when there was a chance that she would get hurt – physically or emotionally – she did what her momma said. She ran. She kept running, until she landed in Salt Rock, Alabama. She meets Roam Cooper, the Vice President of the Mayhem Motorcycle Club. For the first time in her life, Lacey considers staying…and then right before her eyes, her world falls apart, and she runs again.

“No more runnin’, Lacey. ‘Bout time you started fighting to stay.” – Roam.

**This is a stand-alone, full length novel with a happy ever after**

2.0 out of 5 stars Bad? 2 Jan 2014
By hayley
Format:Kindle Edition
The s
tory line was good. It had great potential for a good book but the time line of the story was just messed up and not making much sense. The book was obviously not edited as their were a ton of words missing and other grammatical errors. The use of the word y'all was over used and seriously got on my nerves. It was rushed. Would have been such a good book base on the story
line. What a disappointment.

3.0 out of 5 stars A non story 23 Dec 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I didn't really understand this book. It wasn't really about anything in particular. This could actually have been a sub story within a better book with more compelling characters and intriguing storyline. Got this for free....so not going to complain. I'd recommend reading this if you have an hour to kill in a Drs waiting room or something and don't want to read anything too taxing. If not....save your money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not your average MC book 15 Dec 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
(ARC received from author in exchange for an honest review)

I loved Kasey's Aussie cowboy series and I was intrigued to see how well she went from writing a Aussie based book to writing an American based book. Although the English, American & Australians all speak the same language, it's also completely different and switching couldn't have been easy. However, Kasey managed it really well!

Fighting To Stay is a MC book. You're probably thinking that if you've read one then you have read them all and with this book you'd be WRONG. The book is slightly predictable in parts but this just adds to the enjoyment of the read. Although it has its predictable areas it also has twists that are so left wing they come from the right and leave your head spinning. As you would expect in a MC book the language is crass, the sex is HOT and the alpha male is Oh-My-Freaking-God sexy. This is one book I wish I could jump in to and get myself hitched to that hot piece of male.

Lacey is a woman who has grown up watching her Mum & Dad's turbulent relationship and promised her Mum that she would run if she found herself in a similar situation. Running is what she does best.

Roam is the VP of a MC and he falls hard for Lacey. He has a reputation and when he sets eyes on Lacey he knows that he has to have her. Whatever the cost. Roam is a man who is used to getting what he wants but what happens when there is someone else who is also used to getting what they want? Well you'll just have to read it to find out!

Love the book and like I said earlier I think Kasey has done a great job with this one. I'm hoping there is more to come from the series!

3.0 out of 5 stars Softer MC book 8 May 2014
By Deborah TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Kindle Edition
I got this book as part of Born to Ride collection which is currently on sale at 77p for 6 full length MC books, I figured at that price why not since I love bikers and surprisingly all 6 books were new to me.
This is the first book in the collection and while I did enjoy it something was missing, it didn't have a lot of depth I must admit and I didn't really feel the relationship this I think was due in part to the passage of time, huge chunks are skipped over which is fine in some cases but for me I needed more to believe this relationship was real but the main problem was Lacey, at times she's annoying as hell and for me the last 'run' was totally unbelievable, well not the run itself I can see panic could set in but the amount of time involved....no way, no way at all it was just too much when it could all have been explained, I just...I can't say more without spoiling it but you'll know what I mean when you read it.
Could have been so much better especially after the promising start.

3.0 out of 5 stars Female lead annoying. 7 Feb 2014
By JSH
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
One thing this book teaches those who don't already know, is that don't just believe everything you hear or even see. Because its almost always more then what meets the eye.
The sex is great, the love is sure but the women is so bloody annoying,

2.0 out of 5 stars So boring ....zzzzzzzzzzzz 28 Dec 2013
By Linda R
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have read a lot of biker books and this was one of the most boring I have ever read. Plus it has such a weak storyline. Lacey the main character in the book gets involved with biker Roam and from then on it goes from bad to worse. The worst part being where she thinks Roam has cheated on her with his ex and just takes herself and their baby and leaves him without even finding out if it's true or not. The story is so stupid because her friend rings her to inform her of the truth, that Roam hasn't cheated on her, and she refuses to listen!! How many women would ever do that? We are a nosey species so it's highly unlikely we wouldn't want to get to the bottom of things especially when our best friend is trying to tell us! With any story it has to be believable and I'm afraid this one just wasn't. It also went on and on about trivial stuff and the writing just didn't flow for me. I'm sorry to say this author has nothing on Madeline Sheehan, the queen of biker books, and as much as I wanted to enjoy it, sadly I didn't.

3.0 out of 5 stars Short and expensive 24 Dec 2013
By Lizzie
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This took me about an hour to read so I felt a little cheated at the price I paid. There are better, longer and cheaper books available (not that price is an issue for a good book.)
To be honest I quite liked the story. Lacey is running from a bad relationship and goes to visit her best friend Jenn whose boyfriend is in an MC. There she meets Roam and jumps straight into a menage a trois situation. They fall in love rapidly and the only thing spoiling it is someone threatening Lacey.
It could have been a stunning MC story if the storyline had been lengthened with the plot and characters developed.
For NA and above.
