This movie was supposed to have caused riots in the cinemas on it's release due to it's racist content. There is no doubt racist abuse hurled about here but is it really a racist film? In my opinion it's just pure exploitation in the mode of 'LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT'. The racists in the film (one white European, a Mexican and an Oriental incidentally) are three escaped dangerous criminals, obviously psychos, not of clear mind and not really role models of any kind. The family who are abused, (there's some rape, forced humiliation etc but no worse than 'LAST HOUSE') give as good as they get and even overcome the bad guys in the end. The racism in the film is no way glorified and if you watched the film to the end you too would be gunning for the victims. If there's any fuss to be made about the film it would be of the shocking child murder scene.
The acting here is strong, and it has aged well and the quality of the print is very good. Still very controversial, EBAY won't list it but they obviously haven't watched the movie but they do tend to have no idea about movies. In the UK were all too immature and therefore not allowed to make up our own minds about this and many other movies (even now in 2011 it still goes on...Human Centipede 2,Grotesque, Rockbitch to name a few have has outright bans). If you're American though, no problem, you don't have impressionable young people..
