Review

"'... a splendid collection of progressive studies.' Music Business 'Definitely worth having... Bravo Alan Bullard! Thoroughly recommended.' PAN 'These are altogether delightful studies in every way and sure to be popular with students and teachers.' Music Teacher '... a set of fascinating, useful, carefully, even lovingly, crafted solo pieces... Get these albums! They contain excellent exercises, satisfying pieces - and are great fun.' FLUFSA News July '98"

Product Description

Fifty for Flute is a collection of progressive studies in two volumes for unaccompanied flute. Carefully written to explore different aspects of the flautist's technique through the grades, these attractive and well-crafted studies also contain a mix of articulations, speeds, time signatures and rhythms to provide original and varied study repertoire for teacher and pupil. All fifty studies have their own individual character and mood, indicated by the titles that head each piece. Pupils will enjoy the good-humoured (but very easy) syncopations of 'Bouncy flute', the thrill of the big top in 'Circus flute' and the wicked Offenbach parody in 'Comical flute'.

A super book. 22 July 2010
By Mum F.
This is currently my daughter's favourite flute book - she loves the titles of the pieces (Sad Flute, Bouncy Flute etc.)

As her teacher, I like the way each piece has its own rhythmic character. The keys used are those of the Associated Board scales, and the phrases are generally short with rests for breathing.

I strongly recommend this book to students of all ages.

Great music for a fairly novice player. My 7 year old daughter loves it, she finds the music fun to play.
