About the Author

Benjamin Myhre’s love of food and popular culture has culminated in a passion for Bacon and is the fire that sparked this book. While Ben loves Bacon, he also enjoys home canning, innovating his homemade pizzas and home brewing. Outside of cooking, Ben works in the technology industry, reads comic books, gets geeky about Star Wars, tries to make it to the gym to work off all the delicious food as well as blogging about popular culture on the internet. He lives in Fargo with his lovely wife, Ashley, his dog Charlie and three cats he lovingly calls “cat.” Jenna Johnson’s love of cooking, food, photography, and Bacon has helped her create a successful food blog called She is married to her wonderful husband Ben and two cute furball children Colin and Jerry Lee. Ben gets to sample all the recipes and ideas Jenna has created for her blog and sometimes the children do too. She resides in Fargo and met Ben Myhre through a friend, Ashley Myhre.

I bought this book as I was buying '50 Shades of Chicken' for a joke Christmas present (which is amazing & I am very impressed). Amazon suggesting buying this book as other customers who bought '50 Shades of Chicken' also bought this book so I thought why not.

Such a down as sounded & looked so good! Now I wish I had read the other reviews before my purchase as despite the glossy cover which makes this look like a quality book - this is a thin, flimsy poor quality book that looks like it was produced using Microsoft Publisher & printed on a home computer! I am too embarrassed to give this as a gift & am stuck with it. The recipes themselves are also poor quality, one of which was basically make a Martini & put a cooked strip of bacon in it in the same way you would a stick of celery in a Bloody Mary.

Simple little book. The recipe's aren't blow-away but I don't think the recipes are the real reason you buy this book. I bought it as a great noveelty gift for a secret santa.

2.0 out of 5 stars Sad, very sad 4 Jan 2013

Being a bacon fanatic myself, I must admit its really poor, I expected more creative dishes, its hollow.....
But quite frankly, I expected this being a parody book, and I really got let down on this expectation, the authors completely lack the ability to write interestingly, and there are no sexual references whats all ever in this book.

To be frank, it seems like Ben and Jenna just saw the chance of making a scam? Lots of people appreaciating bacon as if it was the Islam of western civilization - and yet, not making any quality at all, just abusing the greatness of bacon - they truely lack writing skills.

The only reason for not giving the simple 1 star, is the fact that they managed to pick a font that relaxing for the eye, and the cover photo is nice - but that truely is it, nothing else in this product is good.

- Last but not least, it does certainly not help that they've put everything in outdated stupid measures instead of metric which most of the world uses.
