Correct Track listing 27 Sep 2007
Format:Audio CD
Hi there everyone this is Kev from Stump.
The release of this anthology was originally set for early October '07 but Universal Records have just bought Sanctuary Records. A final decision on the release date has not been made yet but should be announced shortly. It may be delayed until early in the New Year. Below is the CORRECT track listing - (it's 3 CDs, not 2 as some sources say) and you'll notice there are many unreleased tracks that make up the 'Post Pancake' album.

All the best, Kev.

Well, at last IT'S HERE!! Joyous celebrations all round!

If I have any minor criticism, it is that it doesn't include everything, (such as the marvellous 12" "Lights! Camel! Action!" remix of 'Charlton Heston' - which is rather sad as Charlton himself passed away last weekend). It also omits the whole of the 12" EP of Peel Sessions recorded in January 1986 (my, that's over 20 years ago now, sigh). The latter was originally issued on Strange Fruit, maybe they are just unavailable for legal reasons(?). These are very small issues (hey, I have these two things on vinyl anyway), and issues that I can accept - this is a fantastic set with many previously unreleased gems! Go do yourselves a favour and buy a piece of real authentic rock music. There has never been anyone quite like Stump... nor will there probably ever be!

I just had to pick up a copy of this marvellous compilation on the day it finally surfaced, and it's a great package with some very interesting sleeve notes on the history of the band. All we can hope for now is a band reunion (I heard that they DID all meet up in 2006 in Clonakilty, Cork), and maybe even a reunion gig. I can but dream. Sigh.

Lord rest the mighty Stump.

The reissuing of much of Stump's output on this release is an incredibly exciting event (to me, at least), as all of Stump's releases have been out of print, and hence very difficult to obtain, for a very long time. Most of the songs on this album (except for those from A Fierce Pancake) are being released on CD for the first time. I won't waste any time getting hold of this fantastic reissue. A big thank you to the record label!

Unexpected because I didn't realise that this had been released. I have always loved Stump, and had managed to collect virtually everything they ever released on vinyl. Read more

A most welcome time-capsule from the 1980s' most interesting band
