The summer has arrived in London and what better soundtrack to get you in the mood that Fierce Disco - its everything you have come to expect from Mark Doyle - think a cross between Disco Kandi and Twisted Disco and you get the picture. Some great tracks spread across the 3 CDs - the stand out would have to be Fish Go Deep's offering - what a tune! - If I have one gripe its that I think 3 CDs is just too much - especially when they are peppered with tracks that have already been included on previous Hed Kandi and Fierce Angels releases - but then again is getting 3 CDs from the main man really such a bad thing....Hed Kandi is long forgotten for me - now it all about the ANGELS!

always fun to see how long the sleeve notes take to bang on about hed kandi. jeez, we know all that. stop it! besides which, there's no need. it's another excellent compilation.

it has a broader range than the hed kandi compilations (doh, now i'm doing it), but it has 3 CDs so it can...

lots of good tracks on here and that's all you need to know. probably the best Fierce compilation yet (of the 5 that I have).

I loved Mark and Hed Kandi and the other Fierce realeases and have downloaded Digital Angel, which is amazing maybe should have released that on CD instead, or maybe they wanted to keep that bit of exclusivity for the best tunes..who knows..I am cringing when I write this but I don't really like this at all..feel as if has no direction apart from couple of tunes at end of CD 1, and a few on CD2, and as for CD 3...well let's just say not my thing very hardcore, and not what I expect to hear from Mr Doyle , maybe trying a new direction, and no doubt some people will love it but not my own personal taste..I prefer more uplifiting sexy house with a good soulful vocal or tunes that transported you to some exotic locale..like disco kandi and beach kandi..and they are too many old tunes..I know it's nice to reminisce but not good value..sorry..maybe there are no new tunes out there or are struggling to get licenses..anyway..hopefully Beach and Es Vive 07 will see a return to form...sorry Mark..!

Fierce Disco is i guess Mr Doyles equivilent to Hed Kandi's Disco Heaven/Kandi series..ive not been much of a fan of hed kandi since mark leftand theyve gone on to churn out some appaling cd's. This whilst not being upto marks hed kandi days still packs a punch with some great tunes. The main problem and its only a small niggle is that 33 tracks deep is to much and quality control goes out of the window a bit. 22 trax over 2 discs like kandi is much better. CD's 1/2 are the winners here with some cracking disco party tunes. CD 3 is completly out of place and is more like twisted disco, very electronic and hard, not my cup of tea at all..stick to the disco mark!!! You'll still enjoy this though..great!!

Great comp. Doesn't just fall into the funky house category either. Contains amazing dirty south update of Josh Wink's Higher State Of Consciousness.
