This was my first thought when I saw, for the first time, this band back on 1986. This official video - Revelations - gives a most effective retrospective of the FotN career from the early days of Dawnrazor to the most sophisticated Elizium. Videos from: Moonchild, Chord of Souls, Last Exit for the Lost, Preacherman, Love Under Will, Power, Psychonaut Lib 111, For Her Light, Blue Water, Vet For the Insane, etc. The "Preacher Man" and "Blue Water" videos , were both directed by cult director Richard Stanley, most famous for his films "Dust Devil" and "Hardware" (which featured Carl McCoy in a cameo role). The unique chance of getting a video compilation from one of the pillars of Gothic and Metal from the 80's.
The peculiar visual mood that only FotN can evoke is fully captured in this amazing collection. The powerful and characteristic imaged allied to the entangling sound of the guitars, the amazing rythm of the drums, the deep bass line and the thundering gutural voice of Carl McCoy sends us back in time to those days when the gothic underground scene lived to its fullest.
If you never had the chance to see them on stage these videos and their recorded performances bring you as close as you will ever get.
If you already know their sound you have now the opportunity to ad images to it. Either way, you will only gain by adding this video to your collection. Or acquiring it to start one. Either way... You win!
