The M65 Field Jacket (also known as M-1965) is a popular field jacket designed for the US military. Introduced in 1965, it replaced previous models of field coats such as the M-1951 field jacket and the M-1943 field jacket. The M-65 field jacket was widely used by United States troops during the Vietnam War. Its robust design and tough wearing turned out to be crucial for troops serving in the Central Highlands of South Vietnam, and in the cool weather conditions that came after monsoonal rains. Presented US Army style M65 field jacket features quality and strong surface material (65% polyester, 35% cotton) and warm, removable long-sleeved liner, which is suitable for the autumn, winter and spring. Very good jacket, but I was expecting it to be lighter. Be aware this is a dark green. Otherwise this is a must have jacket. Good idea for both Winter and summer. You can take out the interior lining in the summer and put it back in, in the winter.
M65 - used in 1965 during Veitnam. This jacket is also used by Rambo in first blood part 1 for the opening scenes. But again be advised. His jacket is a lot lighter!

Size Name:X-Large
I've just received this Jacket this morning and am very pleased with it, The quality feels to be excellent. The sleeves are a bit long, It's worth pointing out though that the sleeves do have hand shield extensions which make the sleeves appear even longer and there are plenty of velcro adjusters on them to get a good fit around the cuff. With the Winter/cold weather insert the jacket feels incredibly comfortable and definitely will keep you warm, the quilted jacket insert attaches to the outer coat via buttons so is easy to detach and attach, it only takes a minute or so to reattach the liner to the main jacket.
I was a little unsure if the size I ordered would be big enough as I am a little err.. Large round the middle and usually have to order Jackets sized XXL but the advice given to order a size smaller than you normally would was spot on, even with the Quilted Insert attached this XL size jacket fits me well and the larger size would have been too big.
All in all a very good quality jacket that I am sure I will get plenty of usage out of.

Size Name:Small
A good jacket,nice fit though the arms are a bit long. This is going to keep me warm this winter. The jacket is well made and comfortable to wear. Delivery was very quick, within 3 days of placing my order.Anyone looking for an M65 style jacket need look no further.

good coat
I am tall and I have long arms, so I normally buy xlarge to get the right length, however I ordered the large size and it is perfect. It feels warm and robust. I am pleased.
