If your child is beginning to play the violin, this is the starter book for him or her. Easy pieces that introduce the different strings and notes in a logical, well organised manner. Your child will soon progress onto the other books in the range.

We were asked to purchase this book for my daughter by her violin teacher as they use this as part of the course, I dont know much about music but it seems to be a great book for learning.

I bought this as it was recommended by my friend and violin teacher as a great starter book for my 5 year old. As Livia has just started school and is learning her letters we didn't want to bombard her with reading music too soon and this book gentlely eases them into understanding how to read music, where to put your fingers, and rhythm. Great fun pieces, she is whizzing through the book and looking forward to getting her certificate at the end.

Great for a begginner
This particular book was a WRONG book that I ordered. After received it. I had to re-order the book which I originally wanted again. As this was meant to be returned to Amazon. Read more

Great Starter book
I bought this for my 8 year old son as he has just started to learn the violin. It was recommended by his music teacher. A great starter book.
