Book Description

4 Sep 2008

Maybe your vocab's out of vogue (please stop calling things 'rad'!) or maybe you're embarrassed you didn't know what your workmate meant when she told you about her 'desk-burn' (an uncomfortable injury sustained during in-office sex). Either way, you need this sexy, sassy guide to today's trendiest terms.

Packed full of the words and phrases that are just becoming popular, or that should be, this is your gorgeous glossary of the cleverest words you've never heard. Whether you've just spotted another teenile person (someone who is far too old for what they wear), eaten some crapas (a bad example of the Spanish food craze) or you're stuck in the middle of apathy hour (what happy hour usually feels like), show off your chic conversation skills with this invaluable dictionary of all the latest sassy sayings, fashionable phrases and words that don't exist but really should.

.......and an indulgence for someone, like me, who loves made-up words! But behind the frivolous, comical facade, what emerges is an insight into present day societal trends, however short-lived.

I've always been a fan of Daily Candy's humourous copy.
