For the newly dx patient, this book has some of the answers. Unfortunately, they are spread very thin by trying to cover a very wide range of cases and situations.

There are more comprehensive books on the market that offer a bigger bang for the buck. Check out those by Devin Starlanyl for more complete information for both the patient and the professional.

I came across this book on the Internet one night when I was hurting and crying and didn't know what else to do. I believe it changed my life because up until now no one could tell me how to stop hurting. Everyone diagnosed with fibromyalgia should read this only if to understand yourself.

This book is written for the layman who is suffering from the syndrome and their families. Frequently, medical personnel offer little or no hope for functioning in a relatively 'normal' atmosphere; or, describe ADL's in such a manner that no layman can understand.

We have a fabulous insurance company which calls me for any new information, much of which was obtained from the book.
