Product Description

The road to heartbreak is paved with honorable intentions... After a year dealing with her mum's health scare and the end of a bad relationship, Keira Grayson was looking forward to kicking up her heels at her best friend's wedding. Until she kicks off her (spare) knickers in front of the trifecta of perfection. Tom Carew. Son of an earl, honorable doctor and possibly the hottest man on the planet. One look at Keira's delightful embarrassment, and Tom's hormone meter spins off the charts. Trouble is, his bags are already packed to return to the jungles of Papua New Guinea. He has patients waiting-and amends to make for a terrible choice that left devastation in its wake. They both reason that indulging in a one-time dinner date won't hurt...until their inhibitions melt away in the heat of their lethal sexual chemistry. Leaving Keira wondering if a sizzling fling is just what the doctor ordered, or another prescription for relationship disaster. And Tom fighting a battle against inner demons that could shatter both their hearts. Warning: This book contains a hot aristocratic doctor, sparky heroine, new uses for a chaise longue, a steamy shower scene and a knicker-ripping encounter in a four-poster bed.

This was great fun to read, with a sizzlingly hot hero and a funny, down to earth heroine. I galloped through it. Now need to find me an aristocratic doctor and a chaise longue!

4.0 out of 5 stars Sexy and romantic but a little mixed up 3 Sep 2012
By DizzyC
Format:Kindle Edition
I am a Phillipa Ashley fan after reading a couple of her contemporary romance novels.

This is a little different from her other novels with a more adult theme.

Fevercure begins with a meeting at a wedding between the two main characters Keira and "Mr Scarily Handsome" otherwise known as Dr Tom. The ice is broken when Keira drops something from her handbag outside the church, her knickers to be precise.

I was drawn in from the off. In olden days a lady would drop her handkerchief to get attention from a suitor, how times have changed LOL

I warmed to the characters and the storyline was good.
The only downside was that this had a great storyline for a contemporary romance and great sexy scenes worthy of a racy read but I felt I could not decide which sub-genre it was. Racy reads do not usually have such a good story behind them and contemporary romances do not have the racy scenes.

I do like racy reads but would have preferred this one to have concentrated on the background story of these fab characters.

Get ready for a sexy read. There is adult scenes in the novel.

3 and half out of 5 for me.
