Product Description

Review

"* "The entrancing pocket Venus, Dita Von Teese, the queen of the burlesque revival, she of the Vargas Girl looks and the Gibson-girl figure... [as] well-known for dressing up beautifully as she [is] for undressing." - Vogue"

Product Description

Dita's distinctive style is a unique combination of retro glamour, pin-up and high-art eroticism, always perfect down to the smallest accessories. She only works with the best photographers - Baker, Czernich, James & James, Weathers - and, combined with her clear vision of how she wants to look, the result is always 100 per cent stunning and 100 per cent Dita. Dita is a true fetish goddess.

By Dr. Delvis Memphistopheles TOP 500 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Format:Hardcover
Stunning collection of imagery that crosses between Weimar Dietrich gender swap to Bettie Page beat me pleading eyes whilst striking across to a whip wielding modern PVC madam. All courtesy of the mistress of ceremonies Dita.

A collection of images ranging from noir to full blown high palette colour. All the pics exude ruby red lips, black raven hair and a white palor from where Dita's gaze of uber confidence picks her subject and then transfixes.

It is a big book of sexual terror, where Dita has walked away from Bettie's shadow to create her own style culture. Drawing on the 30's/40's noir dames and the 50's whip crack away she has moulded them into a modern sensibility where tease rather than release becomes the ultimate goal.

The aim of this form of book is multifold, acting as an object of desire, a picture of another world, a template for ideals or just to gaze in awe. It works along a number of facets. Leave it on te coffee table and see what unfolds.
