Only Men Aloud offer up more seasonal cheer this year, with a festive album full of carols, jolly modern numbers and a sprinkling of tradition for familiarity. Starting out as a male choir exposed through the BBC's competition, Last Choir Standing in 2008, the choristers have scored a gold selling self titled debut album, a Number 1 on the Classical charts with their sophomore album, Band of Brothers, as well as winning a Classical Brit Award for the project too. With a primetime slot last December performing on Strictly Come Dancing, it was not going to be long before the public demanded a Christmas album. Only Men Aloud Music Director Tim Rhys Evans said: “This is a real feel good sound for Christmas that I know our fans are going to love. The release of the third album coincides with an all singing, all dancing seasonal tour that takes in 14 towns and cities across the length and breadth of the UK. Crossover classical music specialist and Grammy Award nominee Nick Patrick, who has been responsible for seven Best Album awards in the Classical Brits, including his work with Russell Watson and Katherine Jenkins was called in to produce the most merriest of moods. The perfect companion to the season.

This long awaited third Only Men Aloud album is a real treat for Christmas! It delivers exactly what you would expect from these boys - Superb singing, excellent choral arrangements and a great deal of fun! It's a classic mix of old and new songs, with a non-Christmas treat at the end - (Track 12 for all Take that/Coldplay/Tears for Fears Fans!!) If you are looking for a new festive CD you will not be disappointed with this! Well done OMA! And please don't leave it so long next time!!

'In Festive Mood' is such an appropriate title for this CD - it is a wonderful, inspirational selection of carols and songs - all given that unique Only Men Aloud treatment. I have played it constantly since buying it on Monday evening (28th Nov). It is both heart-warming, spine-tingling, amusing and extremely well produced. Track 10 especially sends shivers down my spine as it reminds me of the stunning start to their show. Tim's own arrangement of 'In the bleak mid winter' is another triumph. It really is a mixture of 'y llon a'r lleddf' - as we say in Welsh - the happy and sad. Ardderchog OMA - Excellent - keep up the great work. I'm sure this CD will put a smile on many a face and I wish you every success with it and the tour. Amelia Davies, Aberystwyth.

"In Festive Mood" is another triumph for Only Men Aloud! The wonderful mix of songs old and new, so beautifully arranged, accompanied and of course sung is perfect to get you into Christmassy mood. There are several solos which highlight a few of the gorgeous voices in the choir and the blend of their voices as they sing en masse is spine-tingling! Some of the tracks make you smile, others, with their tender harmonies, can bring a tear to the eye. In a word - OMAzing!!
