An excellent volume for anyone interested in the current ferry scene in Northern Europe. Informative text about all ferries listed and what ships are most likely to be operating on selected routes. A useful alphabetical list of the ferries included in the book is provided at the back. All in all a very informative volume.

Quite simply this book gives masses of interesting information. It covers ferries and other passenger vessels both in UK and Northern Europe. The layout for information is simple, yet concise. Pictures are superb quality. This really is an ideal book for both enthusiasts and occasional users to dip into.

I am going on a round Britain cruise next month, so ordered four 'shipping' reference books from Amazon to go into ship-spotter mode!
'Ferries 2009' is a meticulously researched hard back tome - full of fascinating and unexpected facts.
Plenty of data to satisfy a dedicated ferry enthusiast and profusely illustrated with high quality colour images for a more casual reader.
As a reviewer of this book, I fall somewhere between these two extremes but can wholeheartedly recommend it. I look forward to taking it with me on my next cruise.
