this is a book that could be about the purchase of any car. As such we get told a lot of obvious things, like, "don't buy the first thing you see" and "do your research" etc etc. which of course is what i thought the book would help me do.
Also, it constantly reminds the reader that a Ferrari is no ordinary car and that you will be buying into some glorious, mysterious world. A few facts and figures are thrown in to support that augument.
Well, thats all well and good, but when I bought this book, I was in the process of buying my first 308 and found that it told me nothing that couldn't be worked out with a bit of thought. For instance, I couldn't really see the need for four pages on how to clean the car.
having said all that, there are some usefull bits of info and contacts in there for the complete begineer. This book should be bought with a few others such as 'Original Ferrari V8' to get a rounded view.
No book will either convince you to buy or not buy a Ferrari. Only your wife can do that. I divorced mine, and guess what's in my garage.
