Fergus the dog is left in charge of the farm when Farmer Bob goes out, and he thinks everything is going just fine when disaster strikes and he finds all the animals inside the farmhouse - the hens and ducks watching telly, pigs in the kitchen eating spaghetti and baked beans, cow in the bath etc.
My 3yo and 4yo boys thought it was very funny. It has a great ending too - Fergus thinks it must have been a dream - but on the last page is the bathroom covered in muddy cowprints ........
I think this is a lovely read aloud story for kids. Mine love books like this that have lots of animals in, and extra bonus points for lots of animals doing silly things (they really found ducks and hens watching telly hilarious).
