By ELH Browning TOP 500 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Format:Paperback
This is a gentle story of a fox who worries as his favourite tree loses its leaves with the changing seasons. The language is rich and descriptive and the real strength of this book is the enchanting pictures, an appealing little fox, pretty blended autumnal colours changing into the cooler bluer shades of winter and the final page: a glittery delight, a magical icicle finale. Beautiful.

Beautiful book 17 Oct 2011
Format:Paperback
I read this book to my Reception Class and it is absolutely enchanting. Gorgeous pictures, a sweet story and lots of lovely language e.g. "They [the leaves] tossed and turned and twitched and twirled and tumbled to the ground". I have now ordered the other Ferdie books to read to the children and can't wait till they arrive.
Highly recommended.

This is a fantastic book, the artwork is brilliant and the story is really touching. I think I love it even more than the kids. A fox doesn't understand why his favourite tree is losing all its leaves and he tries to help in a variety of ways. When the last leaf falls he tucks it up in a homemade bed to keep it safe, so cute! A fabulous end with a sparkly surprise!!
