For those of you who liked `Please Sir!' this spin off TV show follows on from the antics of 5C at Fenn Street Secondary Modern (now rumoured to be a Teachers Retirement Home - Ha, Ha!) in the big wide world outside of the school.
Most of the regular classroom cast appear and do for the most part very well without the actors who played their teachers in Please Sir! Although some do make guest appearances to bolster the odd weak episode. The writers give us a much more plausible insight into all the characters this time to great effect.
Disc One starts off very good with the first few episodes, weakens a little in the middle and then as you get to know the characters more reaches a good crescendo towards the end episodes.
It's a great 70's laugh and well worth a trip down memory lane for all us 50+ old school kids!
Watch out for the usual visual gaffs and actors forgetting their lines in the episodes and in particular listen to the end or each half and after final credits as there are quite a few insights as to how a studio audience is `told' when to clap, laugh and cough and when the vision mixer forgets to fade to black!
Worth it just for a trip down memory lane!
