Every book the redoutable Sybil Marshall writes is excellent. This one, Fenland Chronicle, takes us back to a time when families were close, helped each other and their neighbours, when pleasures where simple. Yet, Sybil Marshall is never backward looking and always leads the reader forward. An amazing woman who did not really blossom until later in life, she was still writing in her eighties, yet her outlook is fresh and young, she tackles all her subjects with gusto and understanding. Read this book, enjoy the past, the way of life that has gone but take note of her words, the underlying moral and message, that we can all benefit from our past and move on.

Ecellent excellent excellent!! Book was in very good condition and arrived within the timescale stated (came from USA). Am SO enjoying reading it. A bit of local history for me
