4.0 out of 5 stars Eases neck and shoulder muscles 24 Jun 2011
    By K. Z. Sobol TOP 1000 REVIEWER
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
This is a really excellent way to ease strained neck and shoulder muscles, by ensuring that your screen is at the right level - eye level. I am already feeling the benefit.

The riser is very roughly 50cm across the front and then approximately 30cm from the front to the "point" of the triangle at the back. This is therefore not an inconsiderate size and depending on the workstation you are using, this will either be too large, or inconsequential. On my desk, there is space behind where my monitor is anyway, so I do not "lose" any desk space by the triangular shape of the riser. If anything I gain some by the small shelf, but I agree with other reviewers that it is very delicate and wouldn't hold any real weight - but it is fine for discs or papers, which you want to keep to hand.

The pen holders are okay, but nothing special. They clip onto the central unit easily and are marked left and right to ensure that they are flush to the unit. I confess that I will continue to use my old desktop pen holder rather than transferring them across to the riser as pens aren't really held upright and they feel a bit lost, as if the space wasn't really designed for pens. It does give a nice symmetry to the design though, so I won't remove them.

I like the rubber feet for adjusting the height. The three levels are either 1) the basic unit 2) with one set of rubber feet or 3) with two sets of rubber feet. I have chosen to use one set of feet - 2 sets would have been too high and no feet was less stable as it was smooth plastic on the desktop. The rubber grips nicely and the unit is very stable.

The benefit I have felt on my neck and shoulders is definitely worth 5 stars, I just wish the pen holders had been more practical and the shelf a little sturdier, which is why I have dropped a star.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fellowes make a stand for ergonomic comfort 20 July 2011
By Mr. Dk Hamm VINE VOICE
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
This stand allows you to raise the level of your monitor, which is useful if you don't have a monitor shelf on your desk.

It is sturdily built and allows up to three height levels. It is well designed and tapers away towards the back to minimise its footprint. The letter holder is a nice touch although the try itself is a little flimsy so don't stuff it full of junk (which is probably what I will do!). This doesn't affect the strength of the stand itself though, which appears to be well up to the task.

One word of warning. It's designed for the newer TFT screens. If you've got one the older CRT monitors (the ones like old fashioned tellys), it might not cope with the size or weight. However it should accommodate the vast majority of computer screens these days with no trouble at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rises above the rest. 19 Jun 2011
By Flickering Ember TOP 1000 REVIEWER

From taking this monitor riser out of its box, it was assembled pretty much instantly, without the need for any screws or tools. It's comfortably holding a 24 inch monitor with no signs of strain and as well as bringing the screen up to eye level, it's created space and as such is a perfect desktop solution and comes thoroughly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Jest what we wanted 10 May 2011
I bought 9 of these for the office and no one has comlained. They look smart, are practical and do what you need of them. The price I got them at was far better than our stationary company - saving 8 a piece.

4.0 out of 5 stars I though it would be better 22 April 2014

It was a bit awarkard to assemble for some reason; i was expecting a drawer in the mid-section. the side holders for pens etc are a bit small and while handy doesnt give a great tidy finish. Get one with the drawer.

2.0 out of 5 stars Form over function 1 July 2013
We have been using these following DSE assesments of users desks, personally I find them to be far from ideal. The stand is more about looks (although they aren't great either) than function, the tripod design means that it can easily slip off the back of a desk if it is pushed too far back and the extra feet mean you can only adjust the height in increments of about 1/2". The plastic feels fairly cheap and flimsy but it is sturdy enough to hold most LCD monitors (I probably wouldn't trust it to hold an old school CRT however). The tray underneath is functional and allows you to make at least some use of the large amount of space underneath, the curved design seems to take up much more space than you'd want and is quite invasive if you have a smaller desk.

For the price you pay I would expect it to be higher quality and more adjustable, personally I'd rather spend 7 on two reems of paper and have something sturdier and almost infinately adjustable.

I like the pockets on the sides of the Riser, plus the shelf underneath.
It rises to the perfect height for me.

Better than many risers that still seem to be designed for old big CRT monitors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy and well made. 16 Jan 2013

Does exactly what I want it to do. It raises the monitor to the perfect height and the monitor doesn't wobble when I type. The handly little pockets are useful for the clutter that usually accumulates on the desk.

Would have liked it if my Microsoft keyboard could be stowed underneath. Unfortunately, the keyboard is too long.
