I bought this book back in the recession of the early 1990's. At that time, I had to feed/clothe/house two adults on my (very small) receptionist's salary. It helped enormously! During one particularly bad month, I managed to feed us both on £20 of fresh/frozen groceries (vegies, meat, milk, etc) and the recipes I learnt from this book.
This is the most used cookbook I own (and I have dozens).
