I'm a big fan of straightforward, everyday meal cook books, so this was definitley my cup of tea! It gives great suggestions for any meal occasion; family meals, entertaining friends, healthy breakfasts, sustaining lunches, and also includes an 'on a shoestring' chapter, proving watching your pennies doesn't have to mean eating baked beans on toast everynight, especially when you have options like Beef Pot Pie, Pork with Mustard, Celeriac and Prunes, or Sticky Five Spice Ribs. Delicious!

A new look.... positive change! Of course, the previous books were very very OK (reason why I own them all), but the lay-out and photography have been in the same "style" for quite some years now, and this new approach is refreshing. Recipes are still "very Bill", achievable, well explained and always a hit ! Waiting for the next one !...;-)

My husband and I were given this book less than a week ago and we have already done 3 recipes. As we speak the banana bread is cooking nicely! Easy to follow recipes with not too many ingredients, fab!

Once again Bill has produced a fantastic book - this time just right for people working with not much time to spare to spend hours in front of the cooker. You won't be disappointed - up to Bills usual high standards.

Bill Granger is a bit of a superstar in our house. We ate Bill recipes virtually all summer, and the whole family were exceptionally complementary. I cannot recall one meal that received unfavourable comments. Unfortunately, have had to temporarily lay off the collection of celebrity chef books to lose a few excess pounds, but we are certainly pining for Bill, above all others! The recipes are light, fresh, full of flavour and quick and easy to prepare and cook - essential when you are a busy working mum like me, with a husband who in limited to beans on toast (bless!). The Feed Me Now book has a really handy chapter on prepare ahead 'freezable' dinners, which are a lifesaver for me when working long shifts with no time to breathe at either end of the day. It has fresh and exciting stirfrys, a dirfferent take on breakfast and meatballs to die for - simply the best recipe I've come across. I own Everyday, Holiday and Feed Me Now, and would wholeheartedly recommend them to all.

I think this book was really handy with simple recipes and it had some great photos. i didnt really have any trouble getting ingredients here in london in sainsburys. the sticky five-spice ribs were amazing and i just made the gooey chocolate cake which went down a treat with my friends who wouldnt believe that i baked it myself!

I love this book - I've cooked the onion soup (lighter and less greasy than french onion soup. It was delicious. The steak with mushroom sauce again was lighter than the version that I usually cook and it was very, very nice. The recipe made loads of sauce so I froze what we didn't use.

I highly recommend this book.

I love this book. It is my first Bill Granger book but I don't intend it to be my last. I found all of the ingredients readily available in nearly all supermarkets except for pomegranite molasses and in one recipe he says you can use sugar instead. His recipes are mostly healthy and have a strong asian influence. He uses fish sauce, soy sauce, coconut milk and lime juice a lot but the recipes are more fusion than anything else. There are some hearty dishes too ie. slow cooked lamb shoulder with white beans, chicken and mushrooms pies but for the most part his recipes are light, quick and very easy to make. The day I got this book I had planned to roast a chicken for dinner but when I went through this book for the first time a recipe for a marinated roast chicken caught my eye so I tried it out and I couldn't believe such an easy marinade would be so tasty. The recipe said you could either barbeque it or oven roast it and given that it was March in Ireland I obviously roasted it but I can't wait until the weather gets better and I can make it again and barbeque it even if it was delicious oven roasted. This is a fabulous book and so easy too!
