I loved this book. It's a collection of stories that carry a melancholic theme but don't be dismayed! There is so much hope and optimism in this collection that you cannot help but smile and finish with such a feel-good feeling in your heart that you'll be pleased you spent an afternoon absorbing all that emotion in one brief read. This author is a master in expressing triumph over difficulties, both physically and mentally, that you can't help but love each tale inside.

I must admit that I'm not usually a fan of shorts mainly because in my eyes they don't always develop the story enough. This is DEFINITELY not the case here. Ms. Darling does an absolutely amazing job in plot, action, conflict, and emotion to give you an entire tale in a few short pages. Now that's definitely skill! If you want a feel-good read, check this out!

Essentially I would say that this is a holiday read. It was hard to take it seriously and yet the author understands Tarot which was interesting to read about.
