These razor blades are the absolute business and quite fantastically sharp.

They also retain their edge for ages, I've been using the same blade for a fortnight and it's only just beginning to calm down.

Brilliant, but I don't think they'd be very forgiving if used without a really decent slick soap or cream to lubricate its path, applied with a good quality shaving brush.

The main drawback I can see is that, being so sharp, you may accidentally slice an atom in half one morning thus triggering an explosion that will destroy your bathroom!

Mega blades!

at 50, maybe prey to a bout of nostalgy, i decided to get back to the good old days and purchased a merkur 25c DE safety razor after years of gillette shaving. i won't adventure myself in any metaphysical debate about multiblade shaving vs. old style DE shaving; i want only to add my little advice about the choice of blades. so, to put it simply: i tried astra blades, derby blades and lastly the feather blades. the feather blades resulted *by far* as the best choice of the lot. i'd rate them, well, let's say, as twice as good as the others. you have to be just a little prudent in shaving since they're very sharp, but, sincerely, nothing dramatic: just a light hand and you won't have any problems (actually, i got nicked with astra and derby but not with feather). if you shave with a DE razor, i don't think you should search further. buy the feather blades.

These blades have a reputation for being the sharpest in the world, and i believe that reputation is deserved as they do seem to be sharper than anything else i have used. I usually use wilkinson sword as they are easiy available and reasonably cheap and feather are not readily available in the high st. Feather are not a particularly cheap blade but they are quality Japanese steel and if you can get a good deal as i was able to on amazon then give em a go. I have seen them for sale on that well known internet auction site but they are no cheaper than here and amazons customer service is second to non. One word of advice though - if you are fairly new to Double Edge safety razors BE CAREFUL! If you have an adjustable razor, turn it down a notch to begin with until you are used to them or you will look like you had a run in with Sweeny Todd. Will I buy them again? At this price - definately.

these are superb blades but not for a novice, took me a week before I had got the feel for them. They give the cleanest shave i have had in 35 years of scraping my face.

Not sure
I have used these blades and they are sharp but at what cost. They not only cut the whiskers but take some skin along with them. Also caused me a lot of razor burn around the neck. Read more
