Product Description

Product Description

A celebration of France's best-loved region and its mouthwatering food by world-famous chef, Robert Carrier. Carrier takes us on a culinary sentimental journey to an area he knows well, sharing his enthusiasms with us and introducing us to many friends. Each chapterenlarges on a different aspect of Provencal food. He discusses the herbs and spices that give the idiosyncratic local flavour, as well as the 'gift of olive. There are also chapters about vegetable dishes and salads; meats, poultry and game; the 'fruits de la mer'; and tempting desserts. To round off, Carrier takesus on a stroll around Nice. The 'Feasts' of thetitle are the culminating event of each chapter - Carrier savours a 3-to-5 course meal, photographed in vibrant colour, and sets out the recipes for each dish.
