Fear No Evil - Allison Brennan
It's a normal day for the Kincaid Family. It's Lucy, the youngest of the family, graduation, but she is no where to be found. After the family try to find her it appears she has been kidnapped by a psychopath going by the name of Trask. Trask's evil plan is kidnapping young girls and torturing them and raping them for a profit. He has an online web show where evil minded people can watch the evil actions. Kate, is an FBI agent who has been on the run for five years after witnessing the death of both her lover Evan and partner Paige caused by Trask. She has been hunting him ever since. It is not till she joins teams with her only ally at the FBI and psychologist Dillon Kincaid and his brothers when they make progress where the only mission is to save Lucy and get rid of Trask. They go through ups and downs to get this task done. Will Dillon crack through Trasks persona to save the people he loves?
This is the third of the Evil trilogy and I greatly enjoyed it. We have the romantic element as usual with the main male and female protagonist which was great to see evolve. What with Kate's mentally to run from any comfort at first. It's always great to see the whole of the Kincaid gang join forces to solve the problem. There is an introduction to a previously unknown brother, Jack, Dillon's twin brother who cut himself off from the family after joining the army. Nobody knows anything about him, what he does, if he is still in the army. He reminded me a bit of the Jack Reacher character. The Trask character was as chilling as they come. As the novel goes on you find out more and more why he is like the way he is, although it is very hard to feel sorry for him after seeing the actions he did.
If you are a fan of Karen Rose you will really enjoy this type of author.
