The first time I hear this single, I must admit I thought it was just another poor cover version, admittedly with a cynical edge. But after a few hearings, I rather like it. The singing is good, the rhythms are infectious and the rap sections definitely add something distinctive to the main theme. It's obviously heretical to most fans of "The Sound of Music", but I think Big Brovaz have given this tune a funky edge that the Rogers & Hammerstein song already hinted at, and have transplanted it into a song that parrots the words of Sister Maria von Trapp in a context far removed from the world where the hills are alive with... etc.

I think this song is a much better version than the Sound of music version. It is much more up-beat and has a good r'n'b rhythm. Its a amazing song and if you haven't heard it you should buy it. If you like Big Brovaz other songs than you'll like this one much better and if you didn't like there other ones you should listen to this one you might like it. I suggest if you haven't bought it you buy it!!

For the kids out there I'm sure you've had the experience of your nan moaning about all this ''modern music''. Next time she says that, just pop out and get a copy of this. Sit her down and play it and she'll soon be praising Big Bro for covering her favourite musical. This classic from the 'Sound Of music'has been worked on to create a hot piece of R'n'b that instead of involving snowdrops and roses it's diamonds and rubies. From what was a beautifully written song about lovely things it has changed to a song of greediness and wanting constantly. Big Brovas are from the South of London but this hip pop sounds like it's from America. Whether it is meant to be a comparison between the Big Brovas and Sisters and the Vontrap family or not it's a great tune.

This single is AMAZING! Would you have thought that a band could pull off a song from on of those videos that are apparently classics, and your Grandma and baby sister watch?Well, think again, because here comes Big Bruvaz. This is their 3rd single, and I personaly find it the very best! It is taken from "The Sound of Music" and changes the words slightly to fit in with a modern perspective. I LUUUV it!
