Paperback format with 48 high quality pages covering 38 recipes.
This charming little book opens with an alphabetical list of the recipes contained within.
Each recipe opens with the title, a note, the list of ingredients plus the method.
Metric Conversion tables are given on the last page before a complete list of the titles in the Salmon series on the inside back cover.
Interspersed with sepia photographs, my particular favourite being:-

Not as impressed with this volume of the "Favourite Recpies" series, partly because it arrived a bit banged up, and partly because the recipes don't seem as distinctive and traditionally British as those in the other volumes. They may be perfectly good recipes (haven't tried them yet), but are pretty much what you might find in a typical American cookbook, with the exception of ingredients like "drinking chocolate" (which seems to be something like Nesquik).
Recipes include "Chocolate Eclairs", "Chocolate Genoese Sponge", "Chocolate Parkin", "Chocolate Creole Biscuits", "Chocolate Hungarian Filling", "Chocolate Truffles", etc.
The illustrations, sepia reproductions of lovely English cottages and gardens, are a treat.
(When I try a recipe from this book, I'll come back and add to this review. Who knows--I might end up loving it.)
