Product Description

The management buy-out of Hell wasn't going quite as well as had been hoped. For a start, there had been that nasty business with the perjurors, and then came the news that the Most Wanted Man in History had escaped, and all just as the plans for the new theme park, EuroBosch, were underway.

About the Author

Tom Holt's first book was published when he was just thirteen and, to his horror, he was hailed as an infant prodigy. While studying at Oxford however he discovered Bar Billiards and turned from poetry to comic fiction. --This text refers to the Paperback edition.

Embarrassingly funny 29 Oct 1999
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
I've been recommending this book ever since it reduced me to tears of laughter on an Intercity train - slightly embarrassing as three complete strangers stopped me to ask what I was reading. Tom Holt flips our world on its side, tweaks it around a bit and then bats it back - hard. The problem is that if you know people who engage in management buyouts and go to meetings with them, you find yourself thinking of Tom Holt at the most inappropriate moments - especially the bit about parliaments and animals...but to say more would be to give the game away - treat yourself, you won't regret this purchase.

Hell-raising ... 9 Jun 1999
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
The first Tom Holt book I read ... and there have been many since then!

I bought it because I like the sound of it - on the back cover, and the play on words in the title ... and I think its become the most read book on our bookshelf. The whole concept of Hell being run as a business just opens the way for all sorts of comical, fantastical themes ... and as for Eurobosch ... well ... I've since bought a book on the life and works of Hieronymous Bosch thanks to Faust among Equals!

Best of Tom Holt 29 Sep 2003
Format:Paperback
I was recommended this book by a friend when I mentioned that I like Terry Pratchett. I can't remember laughing so hard at a novel. As I read other books of his I didn't find them so amusing although still enjoyable.

If you like Terry Pratchett you will love this book.
