Fated mates is an average erotic collection from Ellora's Cave Publishing. As expected, each of these three stories catalogues the meeting of fated mates.
Warlord's Destiny by Delilah Devlin
Mora knows her family are using her. Due to a treaty, she agrees to go through with a marriage to Lord Tetrik, a mighty warrior on his own world, despite the fact he expects to wed her beautiful sister. Tetrik accepts Mora and is in fact relieved by her sturdier appearance. Mora never expects to fall in love with her husband and suddenly accepting second place is no longer good enough. She is determined that her warrior love her fully in return, yet Tarik cannot display tender affections towards his wife.

Secrets of the Wind by Charlotte Boyett-Compo

When the prince refuses protection, Chas is forced to go undercover to protect him and finds herself in a situation she didn't anticipate. Specifically selected by Ruan's mother, it appears that she is the fated mate of the prince. She not only has to protect a man who refuses to be protected, convince his mother she is no destined queen, but also battle her own intense attraction to her handsome prince.
This book went up a star solely because of Charlotte Boyett-Compo's excellent offering. "Secrets of the Wind" was by far the best story in this anthology and deserves 4 stars. Unfortunately I'd only rate the other stories 2 stars each. I've not read any full length novels by Ms Boyett-Compo, but will now check out her Windworld series as several titles are available in print. I cannot say I am inspired to check out other stories by either Sally Painter or Delilah Devlin.
