This third volume of the `Fate/stay night' manga sees Shirou encounter another servant, the violent Rider. The volume also shows just what kind of a person Shirou's friend Shinji is and sees the forming of an alliance between Shirou and Rin to work together while their goals coincide.
This is another good volume of the `Fate/stay night' manga that has some good fights. The main point of this volume though is to further the plot with the revelation of a new master and servant and the forming of the alliance between Shirou and Rin. The volume also includes a bit more information on Epic Heroes and what they are capable of. The volume also gives us a bit more characterization for Shirou's friend and Sakura's brother Shinji and apparently, from what I have read elsewhere, despite coming off as a complete jerk, this is toned down from the original video game.
Overall this was an entertaining volume and while I would say that the series is nowhere near being one of the best manga series I have read, it is still entertaining enough.
