Two Incrediable Albums At A Budget Price!!!, 19 May 2008
Bonnie Tyler is amazing, full stop! She is without a doubt one of the greatest female singers that the UK has ever seen.
This double CD boxset is an essential buy for anyone who dosen't own two of her greatest albums from the early 80s when she was the female Meatloaf.
Before Tyler teamed up with producer and songwriter Jim Steinman, Bonnie recorded fine music on the RCA label, her hits "It's A Heartache", "Lost In France" and "More Than A Lover" were already classies. But, she was unhappy because her then producers wanted her to sing country songs and Bonnie Tyler wanted to rock, enter Jim.
The first album she released on the new CBS label went straight into the UK charts at no.1, "Faster Than The Speed Of Night" which contained the mega hit singles "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" and "Have You Ever Seen The Rain" as well as some beautiful tracks, "Tears", "Straight From The Heart" and "Take Me Back" plus the rock song, "Faster Than The Speed Of Night". Needless to say, this album was a masterpiece.
In 1986, she released "Secret Dreams And Forbidden Fire", an even better CD which deserved to do a lot better LP than it's chart position of no.24. Two fabulous singles were released, "Loving You Is a Dirty Job" and "If You Were A Woman" which un-fortunetely only scraped the charts. The single that did take off however was "Holding Out For A Hero" which put Bonnie at no.2 in the charts. "Secret Dreams" also had some tracks with "Ravishing", "No Way To Treat A Lady", the rock gem, "Rebel Without A Clue", the beautiful, "Lovers Again", "Before This Night Is Through" and her cover of "Band Of Gold". This album was a full on rock masterpiece with no bad tracks to disappoint the fans.
If you don't already have this two wonderful albums, you can now order them at a unbeatable price so do yourself a favour and order if like Bonnie Tyler!
