What sets this apart from quite a few rock albums is the songwriting quality - you've still got it Ken.
Also some impressive guitar solo's

An exceptional album that will get no airplay. This really shows that Ken can still write and play. IMO it is better than any sol album he released other than "Proud Words".
If you like classic rock or the sound of the early to mid 1970 Heep albums then this is the album for you.
Apart from David Byron think of Heep from Demons through to Return to Fantasy and you have this album, just with modern production values.
This really is very, very good and shows that the man has not lost it all.
You could really say that prog rock lives on with this.
Come on Ken, keep up the good work and make another one.
If you like classic rock or the sound of the early to mid 1970 Heep albums then this is the album for you.

What a pleasure it is to hear this product from the master of the past. Ken Hensley really shows that he still got the true gift. The band is outstanding and the lead singer Eric Hauksson is excellent.

This year is turning out to be another classic one for, er, classic rock. Already great CDs from Magnum, Whitesnake, Uriah Heep, and soon to follow from Journey and probably Alice Cooper and Deep Purple. On first hearing just now, this is the best of the bunch but will probably sell the fewest.
Ken, one-time Heep mainman, has produced several new cds over recent years, now in his 60's like all the others. This one is done with his current band Live Fire, all Norwegian. Vocals are shared between Ken and the band singer. The songs are tremendous and with meanings as always. What makes this stand out above other recent releases is the production which is the best I've heard from Ken.
If you like quality rock with plenty of variety ie. heavy and more reflective, do buy this - it's great! Thanks Ken

PROBABLY HIS BEST WORK SINCE HIS HEEP DAYS THE SONGS ARE WELL RECORDED I COULDNT HELP BUT FEEL AT TIMES SOME OF THESE WOULD HAVE BENEFITTED FROM BETTER PLAY OUTS SUCH AS AS THE CURSE WHICH AS ALL THE INGREDIENTS OF CLASSIC HEEP BUT FAILS TO ROCK ITS WAY OUT THIS COULD HAVE BEEN UP THERE WITH YOUR JULY MORNINGS AND EASY LIVIN I FELT THIS AMONG A FEW OTHER TRACKS ON THE CD MAYBE LIVE THEY WILL GET THE PROPER TREATMENT LIVE AND BE TURNED INTO THE CLASSICS THEY HAVE THE POTENTAIL TO BE OUT OF 5 I WOULD GIVE IT 3.5 BUT A SOLID EFFORT WORTH BUYING IF ROCK IS YOUR FORTE

Who is Ken Hensley? No idea. Amazon suggested this to me. Hit the play button on the samples. What?! Wow?!
So, I should know him - key band member from Uriah Heap. Never really knew UH back in my youth. I think and having sampled some UH on amazon, its a little "early 70s" - I like prog, but I need to research UH.
But back to this. Forget Uriah Heap. This is a product of the 90s/2000s - absolutely beautiful production. Sound is awesome. His voice is great. The sound is cool. I cant stop playing this.
The last time this happened to me was when I accidentally discovered Camel in the late 90s. This is a music/classic tracks album. Beautiful riffs; beautiful organs.
I got another Ken CD (his latest)...which too, is brilliant. And now I am having to wade thru the back catalog, and avoid overdoing it in one hit.
