Product Description

Product Description

Antony knows that successful home cooking is all about balancing speed with great results. That's why most of the recipes in "Fast Family Food" can be on the table within 30 minutes of starting preparation - and many can be prepared much faster. Antony's cooking is inspired by both the Mediterranean and Asia. Asian Spicy chicken wings and Sweet and sour pork sit alongside Smoked haddock and potato risotto and Red pepper gnocchi with chicken. There are lots of ideas for breakfasts, soups, salads, casseroles, pasta, pots, bakes, grills and roasts. Most of the dishes are healthy enough for an everyday feast, but Antony believes that families should treat themselves, so you'll find some special occasion dishes in here too. In fact, whatever your family fancies to eat there'll be something in here to suit.

No doubt "The Best" 28 Dec 2009
Format:Hardcover
Anything written by Antony Worrall Thompson is rather like a spellbinding novel; he writes in such a way that one's interest grows from page 1, his recipes are so compelling one has to dash into the kitchen almost right away and "have a go". "Fast Family Food" is simply just as the title reads, without the undue complications that are found in many other cookery books. The photography in all of his books is excellent as is the quality of the paper, an educating, quality, enjoyable book well worth reading exploring and using.

Great value 6 Feb 2009
Format:Hardcover
This book contains easy-to-follow "everyday" recipes, but with a little extra, f.ex. an unusual ingredient (like mash with some coconut added to make it special - really nice !! - already made it twice). A.W. Thompson also takes "health" into account, and proposes recipes containing enough vegetables and not too much fat to make them a good choice for those who want to stick to a balanced diet. I have bought this book only 3 or 4 weeks ago and already prepared 5 recipes from it (which is a lot, considering that I am a real cookbook addict and have a collection of about 500.....)
