At first I fell in love with the cover of this book, I loved the design and it is so tactile. The book is covered with fabric with the title sewn, slightly raised, onto the spine. The writing on the front of the book is pressed into the fabric and is a beautiful silver colour that shimmers as you move the book in the light. It's a pleasure to hold in your hands and very pleasing to the eye.
Inside the book doesn't disappoint. Every time I flick through I discover something different, there are so many different ideas and styles. This book mainly covers the visual aspect of design, every page is full of wonderful pictures covering different designer's works with a small piece of text explaining some facts about the pieces. All the collections of work have the title, designer, client and description, with some of the works having slightly more information in the description than others.
The book is beautifully presented with stunning photographs of varying sizes but all at the right proportion for the design they are portraying. The colour in this book is fantastic, very vibrant and clear and the book is printed on good quality paper.
Overall I was inspired by most of the work in this book, there were some designs which I didn't like all that much, but even the ones I wasn't totally enamoured with had aspects which drew my attention. In a book with so much variety there are always going to be some designs that you won't like as much as others, but plenty more that will totally blow you away, it's all to do with personal taste.
Beautiful photography, amazing design, stunning illustration, and a must have for anyone interested in fashion or graphic design.
