Format: Paperback
Fashion, by its' very nature, changes so that career guides can become out of date very easily. Add to this the essential and basic fact that many people who fancy a fashon career don't have a clue what the job and role possibilities are, and it is clear to see the need for Carol Browns' book.
Up to date, broad ranging and informative this is essential reading both for those contemplating a fashion career and those perhaps just started on the career ladder who need guidance.
Well laid out, well researched and comprehensive this is the book to give or to buy for those who want information, inspiration and knowledge.
It is all packed between the covers of this book which embraces both analytical information and in depth interviews with contemporary practitioners.
In other words - Want to know about the fashion business? - Then buy this book. Simple really.

Precise, accurate and very relevant to the fashion industry of today, giving an invaluable insight into the wide variety of careers available within this notoriously competitive world. A must resource for all students currently studying on FE and HE courses, with excellent self help guides, ranging from how to write a CV, cold canvassing to creating a portfolio and business start up. Excellent case studies and reference section highlighting useful addresses and associations. This book contains something for everyone; written in a clear, non complicated style, you won't be able to put it down. Worth every penny.

I love fashion and know I want to work in the industry but I'm clueless on what job I want to do. Fashion Design, Fashion PR?! I dont know!!

This book lists over 50 different jobs and the key requirements of the jobs as well as interviewing people already in that industry. You are taught how to write a CV, present a portfolio and you are even given tips for when you start your new job.

This book truly is fantastic and a must-have for anybody in love with the industry preparing for work.

This book is so helpful! It has good range of jobs well-described, but the second part of the book is the best. It gives you samples of good CV, cover letter (which are usually so difficult to write from scratch), thank you letter, also provides you with very good job hunting advice and organising tools. Great Great Great!
