The characters within the novel remain true to the show and captivate easily, however the plot seems to become unnesscerily complicated at times. If you're a Farscape fanatic as I am, persevere as the book develops you'll be rewarded for your patience. While the previous two novels, 'House of Cards' and 'Dark side of the Sun' are admirable in their attempts to recreate the show's atmosphere and energy ,for me 'Ship of Ghosts' comes the closest, let down only by lack of plot clarity.I would highly reccomend this novel to those who watch the show and especially those who enjoy the interaction between characters, as the author develops this well while remaining loyal to the creators original vision.Yet novels based on the series are still in their infancy and many authors will be eager to asses the reception of these first three before taking the leap themselves.I anticipate lots of ground breaking novels pushing the bounderies of the Farscape world in order to produce furtherinsights and new perspectives. Possibly even to rival Star Trek's (Voyager rules!) monopoly in the scifi genre, heres hoping that this will spur authors worldwide into action.
