ok, but not always reliable,

This cake tester serves its purpose most of the time, however, it can be a bit misleading whenever I bake bread. However, for cakes, yes, it does a great testing job. Worth the money!

Perfect Cake Tester,

The metal rod on this tester is 5.5" and with the round plastic disc top has a total length of 7.5" which is much better than the one I used to use especially when making Christmas cakes or deep gateaus. A very cheap item that does a perfect job - excellent.

Just be careful of where you store this as it is a fragile item to keep. This cake tester does wonders and it is very spot on when you test your cakes.
The extra benefit as well is that you can poke as many places as you want since it leaves a very fine, almost unseen prints, making it even possible without the need to ice the cake to cover the 'scars'
