Amazon Verified Purchase
Constructed of quite thick steel wire, this is unlikely to collapse under the weight of a cake as my previous unit did. As there are 3 legs, the unit is stable on any surface.
However, on unpacking it, I discovered that both top and bottom surfaces are riddled with several sharp points of residual metal from the welding. It it not a surprise at this price level but the protrusions are small rather than large and uncomfortable rather than dangerous.
As I now know that these problem areas exist, I can avoid them.

This is a great cooling rack - ideal for cooling a sourdough "pain de compagne" as it is slightly larger than other racks.

I was surprised for the money how thick the metal of this cooling rack was, very robust. I have used it for round cakes and so far so good.
