This wooden handled Palette Knife from Farringdon is ideal for spreading cake mixture, icing, and fillings. It is also handy for sliding around the inner edge of the cake tin to loosen the cake before it is lifted out.

I received this palette knife promptly, much earlier than the delivery estimate, and very well packaged. Let's keep this simple.
Pro: It works and is perfect for baking
Con: Oily residue on the knife (presumably just from usual manufacturing process) which is still appearing on the sponge when being washed, even after several uses & soaking in soapy water.
Wish it was a little larger, but that's what I get for not fully paying attention.
Excellent little tool, which I'm sure I'll find many uses for!

I ordered this to replace one I had for over 25 years. The description should have given me a clue to length but I did not realise it was a small one until it arrived. The actual palette bit is not very bendy/ flexible but it is ok for easing cakes out of a tin.
