Is there any chance it will be available in paper because I'm sure my son would love it and I may read it as well

Imaginative fantasy, a fun read 2 July 2011
By SunnyKindle - Published on Amazon.com

Fardoor is classic 'children find themselves in another world' stuff - done very well. The first chapter is a quick intro and setup and by the second chapter they're already in this other world (Fardoor). The main protagonists are a brother and sister (very realistically portrayed IMO - they reminded me of my own brother and sister!), accompanied by an expanding crew of characters including 'sprites' (what Daniel Tascona calls fairies), 'Shadows', gnomes, 'Uru' and other humans. There are a variety of settings, and I especially loved the descriptions of the cloud-cities built by the Uru.

As promised there's fantasy and there's adventure, with quite a bit of magical action sequences. I thought the 'Destroyer' villain was great and he keeps popping up to spark a fight and taunt Thomas and Rebecca. Nothing too too dark though.

Over all, I found the book very well-written fantasy and the world the author creates engrossing. Also, I bought the Kindle edition and it was well-edited - which is just as important. I don't know if this is a series but I hope there's another one coming!

Enjoyable fantasy 10 Jan 2012
By Book lover - Published on Amazon.com

I don't know why it's not showing that i bought the book because i did. Anyhow i thought Fardoor was well written fantasy, especially for a new author. I liked the interplay between young thomas and rebecca which reminded me of my cousins. There's a good amount of different types of magic and some epic fights - the kind of thing I love in these stories. I have to say I wasn't completely sold after the first chapter but then the book picked up its pace and the writing got a lot tighter. Good job.

A great addition to the youth fantasy genre 16 Feb 2012
By Andrea - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I just finished reading the book and it was very enjoyable, well-written, and witty. The author has created a believable magical world called Fardoor. Great for kids (or anyone) getting into the genre, not too violent like some other young adult fare. Strongly recommend to anyone that enjoys fantasy novels, from age 8 to 88!
