Feels high quality metal case, sturdy and compact. Much more compact and significantly cheaper than the Freecom alternative, though it has no Firewire connections if that's important to you. Has e-SATA as well as USB 3 connections (cables supplied). Once formatted it worked instantly with both my laptop and media player blu-ray (Oppo 95) unlike some other brands (e.g. Freecom Quattro 2tb only seems to work with the e-SATA not USB).

Docked one star as it came with no UK power plus/adaptor - which I believe is illegal let alone inconvenient and quite awkward/fragile when used with a standard 2 to 3 pin adaptor.
