Review

“It’s innocent and magical and just the book you want your little girl to read. Utterly charming” Mum reviewing Fancy Nancy

“I will be buying more copies of this book for Christmas…my friends daughters would love [it]!” Mum reviewing Fancy Nancy

Product Description

Fancy Nancy is back! And this time she wants to be fancier than ever!

Nancy is over the moon when her family decide to get a dog. She dreams of having a papillon - a small, delicate, fluffy dog - by her side. This will be the ultimate accessory!

But her family have other ideas. They want a plain dog. How unglamorous!

With Fancy Nancy’s trademark humour and warmth, Nancy discovers that true fanciness does not depend simply on appearance but more on a genuine joie de vivre, which is a very fancy phrase for having lots of fun!

This is the second of the Fancy Nancy books and it is as wonderful as the first one. Nancy borrows her neighbors dog to show them just how much they'll adore a fancy dog and winds up falling in love with a dog from the rescue centre which suits the whole family.

The drawings are beautiful, full of detail and little side jokes. The story is wonderfully told. I'm happy to read this tale every night - which is just as well because it is asked for frequently.

A must for anyone with a budding Fancy Nancy.

The book itself is adorable, but unfortunately the way AMAZON packed it creased the front cover, so I will make sure I go to an actual book store to purchase my next book gift.

This is a wonderful book which is beautifully illustrated. Nancy is not a normal girl - she loves being "fancy" but her family is not much to her chagrin. She "borrows" her fancy neighbours dog to see what having a dog is like and discovers maybe being fancy isn't the best thing in the world being happy is. Cute messages in the series lavishly produced with sparkles etc., and the kids love this series. This is my favourite of them all and a great book to add to any collection of childrens books.
