I bought the gift for my 5 year old grand-daughter and it was too difficult for her to do on her own. I am use to making 'things' but this in my opinion is quite difficult and I would recommend it for a much older person.

I bought this a few weeks ago as I needed to learn how to make friendship bracelets and the number of different techniques on the internet was overwhelming! This is a fantastic book and the designs range from simple plaits to more complex knots. They aren't however friendship bracelets as I know them, which was a bit of a shock. However, I've now made at least one of each design and haven't had any problems following the instructions which are detailed and clearly illustrated. And I'm really pleased with the end product too: though I have had to invest in more materials. The thread, beads and charms supplied with the book were surprisingly good quality and in a really attractive range of colours.

This was a fantastic gift - I really enjoyed making up bracelets for all my daughters friends they however did find it quite tricky and lost interest quickly - too many other things to do! They did prefer the shrink art in comparison to this and the fashion books but I'm sure they will go back to it and try again one rainy day.

Fantastic
This kit is fabulous and has kept my 10 year old daughter busy for ages! Highly recommended as a present for girls, but I think it would be too fiddly for anyone younger than 8-9.
