Very relaxing 22 Dec 2003

Format:Audio CD
This cd is brilliant - we got it to send our 2 month old baby to sleep and it works every time (he's now 7 months old). It is really relaxing and has a good mixture of adagios.

Format:Audio CD
This CD is aptly titled famous ADAGIOS as it contains 10 of the world's most famous adagios. One can take a journey with this 77 and ½ minutes of pure classical and listening pleasure. From the soothing violins, strings and organ in Albinoni's Adagio in G to the haunting violin of Takako Nishizaki in Bach Violin's concerto in E major, to Anthony Camden's Oboe in Albinoni's Oboe concerto in D to the violins of Takako again in Mozart's Violin Concerto no 3 in G major then to Jozsef Kiss's Oboe in Marcello's Oboe concerto in D minor, to Mozart's piano concerto No 23 played by Jeno Jando , then to Bruch's violin's concerto again played by Takako Nishizaki this blends well into the evocative tones of Ernst Ottensamer's clarinet in Mozart's Clarinet concerto in A major, Norbert Kraft's guitar then takes us through the very emotive Rodrigo's concerto de Aranjuez , finishing with the gradual but steady crescendo of Barbers Adagio for string. A complete and relaxing journey with 10 of the world famous adagios from the great composers. The recording and performance is excellent and it is all DDD recording. You can't go wrong with this CD.
