As an adopted person who has never searched i have always been intrigued by peoples experiance of adoption. This is a very powerful book which looks at three different aspects of adoption. The child who has been adopted and how they interact into their new families, also their experiance of reunion. The parents who have had to make the hardest decision of all,to give up their child or in some cases had no choice at all. Then the adoptive parents who have made the decision to take on someone elses child and how the child can rebell later in life when not all reunions are happy ones.
I had to put this book down at times as it is a very powerful collection of stories, but i soon found myself opening it again and might even read it again.I can recommend this book to anyone who is involved in the adoption process.Hope you enjoy it as much as i did.

This book reflects 3 sides of the stories that come out of adoption. I always knew I was adopted, and was "found" by my birth mother 12,000 miles away when I was 38. The contributors to this book tell it how it is. Ultimately I feel for any woman who has either had to give up, or has lost a child. This book helped me understand this process a bit better.
