Product Description

Internet genealogy expert, Nancy Hendrickson, uses a case study to illustrate the genealogy and non-genealogy resources available on the Internet. Using the same five steps, you can learn how to track your ancestors with the skill of an accomplished detective.

As an Internet genealogist, you'll have a high level of success if you put on your detective cap as you work your way through a research challenge. In this guide, Nancy Hendrickson walks you step-by-step through her process as she tries to unravel a family history mystery of a Texas branch of the family tree.

Join her as she tackles the clues she finds online - and use the same techniques to uncover your hidden ancestors.

Hendrickson is a contributing editor at Family Tree Magazine and the author of Finding Your Roots Online, published by F&W. She researches Hendrickson, Faulkenberry, Snow, Shore, Dimmitt, Dearing, Hatton, and Gregory.

I was very disappointed by this book. It only discusses US genealogy, so it is of little interest for anyone living outside USA.

Article, not book! 20 May 2011

This is listed as a book which I would assume has several pages (as in more then 10.) NO this is an article, which is short, and a brief overview. I was disappointed to pay for a short article, when I expected a book.

Step-by-Step guidance 18 Mar 2011
By Charlene Crilley - Published on Amazon.com
I really liked how this ebook was set up. It guided me step-by-step through a real life genealogy problem. The approach helped me understand online strategies and how I can utilize my genealogy experience to help me find things online.

DON'T BUY THIS 3 July 2011
By Clarise Soper - Published on Amazon.com
This is not a case study! It is a "follow me while I do an internet search." Not one footnote - not a quality piece of writing by any standards. Genealogical Proof Standards will not be found in this short article.
