Fun:
After having had the Family Challenge Outdoor Challenge for a year (which is fabulous), we thought Santa would love to give this to the children for Xmas and we have to say we were disappointed by this one. We have children aged 4, 5 and 6 and they really enjoy the Outdoor Challenge, are able to handle the controls and requirements of that game easily and its good, all round fun, whilst using up their energy nicely.
Unfortunately, we've found this one is just a step too complicated for them. They're familiar with the mat and menus, familiar with using the controller and nunchuck from the Outdoor Challenge (and of course loads of other games), but this one just seems to want to over-complicate the games, occasionally using combinations of the mat and controller that don't seem logical or quite right. Perhaps it's just their ages and in a year or so's time, I expect this game will be just right for them, but to be honest, we've found it very frustrating and extrememly disappointing. Oddly enough, even the mat doesn't seem to be as responsive than the one we got for the Outdoor Challenge one (they are identical and it's a shame you couldn't buy the game without the mat!).
If you're wondering which one to go for - get the Outdoor Challenge one. It's miles better (for children similar ages to ours anyway).

Having seen this game advertised on tv, it looked fun. Its ok but after each game, you have to come out and then re enter for each new try which is time consuming. The games are disappointing - street luge through town you don't feel you are controlling it very well. Base jump was fun but really short, rock climbing pretty basic too. the BMX was good one one and basic on the other and I couldn't see how to progress to another level on any of the sports but I haven't played it long. We are a couple in our 30's with a 6 year old child. We bought this as we like active games that we can all enjoy together. We weren't impressed at all to start with - cheap graphics and there was only an option of 'male' or 'female' face - you couldn't put your own on.
However, you only have to take part in a few activities and you unlock the ability to add all your own faces and Miis to the game.
It was tricky to get to grips with the activities on there to start with - the instructions aren't great - but we persevered and now we're used to it, we love it!! You can play on your own or challenge each other. It's pretty active but great fun and we'd highly recommend it.

Great Fun for Kids and Big Kids
Bought these as christmas presents for my nieces and nephews, they have thoroughly enjoyed them, and as big kids we have too. A good family time package.

Very good games to start with but can get a little competitive after a while.
The mat is easy to store although it is easy to miss the right buttons if you are not careful

Family fit
Bought this for my grandaughter she is 13, she loved it, I think it is well worth the money, lots of fun games some for 2 people on the mat.

Family Trainer Extreme Challenge
Really good fun to play with family or mates but still fun if your playing solo. Good way of getting the kids a little more active without them even realising.

This game was quite fun my son loved it, some of the games where a bit hard to do (like rock climbing) but overall it was well worth the money.

Boring!!
When i recieved this for my children we got it out and it was played with for 10mins and the children were bored and it has never been played with since!!!
