I strongly recommend this book to anybody who enjoys extreme and disturbing horror. I liked that this book actually has a good story line to follow. Most of the time, with this genre, I find that, although the gratuitous horror can be entertaining, there is usually no particular story line you can really get into. This is not the case with Family Tradition. It's very well written and allows you to get involved with the characters and leaves you wanting to know what happens next. I like how the characters, from two completely opposite backgrounds, find their lives entwined, it seemed to add an intelligent humour to the story. Very enjoyable, though certainly not for the faint of heart.
